Abstract:
Currently, predicting the failures of certain industrial systems has become essential for
improving the reliability and profitability of these systems. This forecast is based primarily on the
study of the evolution of the level of degradation of the system.
In this thesis, we are interested in the modeling of a system subjected to a monotonically increasing
degradation which follows a Gamma process. We have determined the optimal non-periodic
inspection dates that are achieved by maximizing the stationary availability of the system. A
sensitivity study is carried out. The results obtained show the impact of varying the durations of
maintenance and inspection actions on the degradation on the system.
